The return of the Crown Caergwrle friday night KO's was this past week and the first winner was South Flintshires Adrian Nagington!
Adrian beat Jamie Baines 2-0 in the first round then beat young Danny Smout by the same score in the next.
Dan Dougherty missed the black to put Naggerz out in the last 8 but Ady scraped through to set up the semi final with Mike Smout which had a good crowd watching!
Naggerz stepped up his game and won 3-0.
On the other side of the draw the idea of a few quid seemed to have got Mike Irwin 'up for it' and he put out Terry Nash, Bali Jans and Gaz Evans to get to the final only dropping 2 frames doing so.
The final was always going to be a good game between 2 players who know each other so well.
Mike tried to pinch his last ball into the middle in the 1st leaving Ady 'dollys' to go 1 nil up.
Ady followed this up with a break and dish to take a 2 nil lead..Mike fought back winning the next and taking control in the 4th. Naggerz then had a huge fluke out of a snooker and proceeded to go 3-1 up. The 'Golden Boy' continued to fight back bringing the score back to 3-2. Naggerz then summed up his current form with another break and dish to take the £40 1st prize, Mike received £25 for runner up.
This will be running again this friday - get your names in early to avoid disappointment!
South Flintshire 'A' hosted there last home game of the 2008 season this past Sunday, drawing with North Gwenedd 'A'.
SFA had a more or less full squad out but a couple of the big names didnt perform and a draw was about fair on the day.
Mike Irwin was given man of the match and also broke & dished in the last frame of the day. Adrian Nagington was exellent as usual winning all his games and looks like he will retain his North Wales no1 spot. Another pleasing point was the return of young James Carey who won 3 out of 4.
It looks like SFA are going to have to settle for 3rd this year but im sure will re-double there efforts to become North Wales Champions in 2009!
The Welsh Open 2008 was help at the Lyons Robin Hood Camp Festival of Pool.

This is Ady's first title outside his local Wrexham/Flintshire area and if his commitment matches his obvious talent it might not be the last!!
